"Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better."

 Introduction

Does this sound familiar?

Within an organisation much is expected of the management and its staff.
This often means that:

  • More targets must be met in less time and with fewer people to do it
  • Circumstances are ever changing leaving little time for employees to adapt to new situations
  • Personnel is expected to be self reliant and take the initiative
  • Constant pressure and scrutiny regarding the work process leads to problems within the management and the staff
  • Workshops and training courses don’t yield the desired results and insights

These factors will often have a negative effect on your management and staff. It can make people wary of change and less involved in the organisation. The most common effect however is for people to feel disappointment in themselves, their organisation and especially their co-workers.
